Terms & Conditions

By booking with Makeup by Anastasia, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before confirming your booking.

Bookings & Deposits

All bookings are subject to availability and are only secured once a booking deposit has been paid and confirmation has been received.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bridal and event bookings.

  • The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of enquiry and is deducted from the final balance.

  • The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the date of your booking unless otherwise agreed.

Bridal Bookings

  • Bridal services are considered destination services and include a required travel fee.

  • Bridal bookings may be subject to minimum service requirements on peak dates (e.g. Saturdays during wedding season).

  • Bridal makeup trials are recommended and charged separately from the wedding-day service.

Travel & Parking

  • Travel fees are calculated per kilometre (return) from South Yarra and will be confirmed before booking.

  • Any additional costs, such as parking fees, tolls, or accommodation (for extended travel), are the client's responsibility and may be added to the final invoice.

Cancellations & Changes

  • All booking deposits are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment may require full payment of the service.

  • For bridal bookings, reductions in services or guest numbers made within 7 days of the wedding date may still be charged at the originally agreed amount.

  • Date changes are subject to availability and may require a new deposit if the original date cannot be accommodated.

Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must ensure a suitable environment is provided for makeup application, including adequate lighting, seating, and a clean workspace.

  • Any skin sensitivities, allergies, or medical conditions must be disclosed before the appointment.

  • Makeup by Anastasia is not responsible for reactions caused by undisclosed sensitivities or conditions.

Lateness

  • Clients are responsible for being ready at the agreed start time.

  • Delays caused by the client may result in reduced service time or incomplete services where scheduling constraints apply.

  • Additional time requested on the day may incur extra charges.

Additional People / Changes On The Day

Requests for additional services or additional people on the day are subject to time availability and may incur additional charges.

Hygiene & Safety

Strict hygiene and sanitation practices are followed at all times.

Makeup by Anastasia reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsanitary.

All makeup brushes, tools, and equipment are thoroughly washed and sanitised after each individual client session. All products are dispensed in a hygienic manner to prevent cross-contamination, and double-dipping is strictly avoided.

The makeup workspace, chair, and all surfaces where products are placed are sanitised before and after each booking. These procedures are mandatory and implemented to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and safety for all clients.

Health & Liability

While the MUA adheres to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, clients acknowledge that beauty services involve close physical contact and the use of cosmetic products.

By proceeding with a booking, the client confirms that they are not experiencing any contagious illnesses, infections, or communicable conditions at the time of their appointment.

Makeup by Anastasia is not liable for the transmission of viruses, bacteria, infections, allergic reactions, or other health-related conditions that may occur during or after the service, except where required by law.

Clients are responsible for disclosing any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or medical concerns prior to the appointment.

Photography & Portfolio Use

Makeup by Anna may photograph or film completed makeup looks for portfolio, website, or social media use.

Please advise in writing before your appointment if you do not consent.

FORCE MAJEURE

Makeup by Anastasia shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing services where such failure is due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, accidents, serious illness, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.

In such circumstances, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule services or provide an alternative solution where possible.

Artist Illness or Emergency

In the unlikely event that Makeup by Anastasia is unable to perform the scheduled services due to serious illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control, every effort will be made to arrange a replacement makeup artist of comparable skill and experience.

If a replacement artist cannot be secured, any payments made (excluding the booking deposit, where applicable) will be refunded.

Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a booking and/or paying a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
